Stephanie has been working in radio for almost 20 years, starting as a producer for Radio 4’s World At One and PM programmes.
Her specialist skill initially, apart from knowing everything about trade unions, was talking down stories. She soon got the hang of it and went from there to Newsgathering (home and foreign) and then to Radio Five Live.
In 2007 she moved to Liverpool to become News Editor at a small commercial station but didn’t actually make it to the first day.
So she went back to her lovely Radio 4 and Five Live bosses and became a freelance reporter. Telling stories about life in Liverpool, the then Capital of Culture.
Stephanie has made radio docs with Alexei Sayle and Alan Johnson, and still works for the World at One and PM
